Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of an English learning module based on blended learning in improving the learning outcomes of tenth-grade vocational high school students. The research employed a quantitative approach using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The participants were 10 students from SMK Griya Husada selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through learning achievement tests administered before and after the implementation of the module. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Paired Sample t-Test, and N-Gain analysis. The findings revealed an increase in the mean score from 58.30 in the pretest to 82.70 in the posttest. The normality test indicated that both datasets were normally distributed, with significance values of 0.990 for the pretest and 0.882 for the posttest. The hypothesis test produced a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between students' achievement before and after the intervention. Furthermore, the average N-Gain score was 0.5884 (58.84%), categorized as moderate and reasonably effective. These results suggest that the blended learning-based English module effectively enhances students' learning outcomes by combining face-to-face and online learning activities, promoting learner autonomy and active engagement throughout the learning process.
